Springsteen and the E Street Band Rock Philly for 2
Nights at CBP
Philadelphia audiences welcomed Bruce Springsteen
and the E Street Band back for the unofficial close of summer at CBP on Labor Day
weekend. And we didn’t have one but two shows this weekend on September 2 and 3!
This puts Bruce at the top of the list for performing at all major live venues
in the City of Philadelphia, according to Ike Richman at Comcast Spectator,
beginning in 1973.

Bringing his 17th album to Philly for Wrecking Ball, 11 new songs that tell a
story about his life as well and connecting with all his fans. Since this is
the first tour without the Big Man, the band is now including a five-piece horn
section, including C’s nephew Jake Clemons and Eddie Manion on saxophones.
This tour needed no intro act, as Bruce jumped on stage around 8pm and proceeded to rock until almost midnight, segueing from one song into the next, passion and adrenaline fueling his music, exciting the audience.

During Wrecking Ball, on the screens behind Bruce came clips of the imploding Veteran’s Stadium and the Spectrum, with many other great clips to match the music flowing into the night.
Almost 4 hours of non-stop playing to a full house- other than sitting down to pour sweat and rainwater out of his boots- Bruce and the E Street Band keep the audience enraptured to his tales of his life, remembering those we loved in his life, understanding the ghosts in our lives, and remembering that love is a necessity. The music went right into my soul, and made me think of things I need to change and need to hold on to.
He reminded us how important life is, and how
precious love and family and friends are, and to always kept it within. Dancing
into the crowd, singing and dancing with audience members, even pulling people
on stage during the crazy humid night, the rain held off and Bruce rocked our
boots off.

This time around, to get myself to the concert, I didn’t drive, I decided to engage Valley Forge Limousine to take me to the show- and let me tell you, this is the only way to roll. Our driver, Jim, drive the Lincoln Navigator smoothly through the torrents of rain that assaulted us all the way to CBP, which thankfully let up in time for the show. Ride provided byValley Forge Limousine this was truly a treat, as it was a smooth,
professional ride and lots of fun! With SUV and sedan service, it is the way to
go for any occasion, special or every day, just for some relaxation. And since
Bruce stopped singing around midnight, I got to relax on the hour ride home and
not worry about traffic. Thanks Bruce, for another great tour!
