Phoenixville Photographer Hosting Local Outdoor Benefit Featuring Performance by John Faye and Vendor Marketplace to Benefit Local Non-Profit Open Hearth

On Saturday, May 8, the event will be held at 2pm. Tickets are $15 in advance. 



Open Hearth to raise funds to help people end homelessness and build financial self-sufficiency. They are celebrating 30 years in the area, serving Montgomery County and Chester County, and will be relocating to their new headquarters on South Main Street in Phoenixville. 

 

John Faye, the prolific singer-songwriter from Philadelphia says, “This will be my first public performance since the start of the pandemic, and I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to play music for people in the flesh and support this cause!”  

 

Laura Keen, Event Organizer, was named by Philadelphia Magazine ‘The Philadelphia-area House Concert Doyenne,’ having hosted previous concerts with Eric Bazilian, Joe Jack Talcium, Joy Ike, Scot Sax, Brittany Robey, Willie Wisely, Jann Klose, Angela Falco, Nik Everett, and Ben Arnold among others to raise funds for local non-profits like the School of Rock, Phoenix Arts Centers, and William Way LGBT. 

 

“I believe deeply in the mission of Open Hearth,” says Keen. “I feel they will be wonderful additions to our Phoenixville community.” 

 

The event includes a community-based marketplace, featuring books, photography, vinyl records, art, and holistic goods.

The concert will adhere to COVID-19 protocols, masks and 6ft social distancing will be required. There will be marked spaces at the event to assist event-goers.  

 

For ultimate safety, we ask that concert-goers bring along their own lawn chair or blanket for ultimate comfort. Due to COVID-19 mandates, we ask that enjoy any food prior to arrival, and enjoy any non-alcoholic beverages while seated in your marked, distanced space.  

 

Additionally, Keen Music Roundtable Collective (KMRC) will be presenting Philly-area native Fern Brodkin with a special award for her contributions to the Philadelphia music community.
