Bluebird Distilling Announces Limited Release of New Spirits This Weekend in Phoenixville

Just in time for chillier days and the holiday season, Bluebird Distilling is excited to announce the release of two new limited edition spirits — 

Barrel Rested American Gin, an American style gin rested in Four Grain Bourbon and Wheat Whiskey barrels, and Blueberry Brandy, made using locally grown blueberries, and aged in lightly charred, new American oak barrels. 

Treat yourself or the imbiber in your life to a bottle of one of these small-batch spirits while supplies last. 

The barrel rested gin will be released at the Phoenixville distillery at 1pm, Sunday November 12^th and will be limited to 200 bottles. The release will be celebrated with live music, specialty cocktails, a guest appearance from Waffles and Wedges Food Truck, and more.

The gin base spirit is distilled from scratch and is then redistilled with a propriety blend of citrus, juniper, and botanicals. 

The American style gin is then rested in freshly dumped Four Grain Bourbon and Wheat Whiskey barrels for one year. 

The limited release spirit will be available for $44.99/bottle.

“The Barrel Rested American Gin is a marriage of epic proportions,” says Jared Adkins, Bluebird Distilling Founder and Master Distiller. “The aging process awakens the gin to boast velvety layers of vanilla, citrus, honeysuckle, candy and spice.” 

The limited release of 150 375ML bottles of Blueberry Brandy, priced at $39.99, will be split between the Phoenixville Distillery and the retail store located at the 17^th Street entrance of The Shops at Liberty Place on November 24^th. Both locations will open at 9:30am offering holiday shoppers an exciting alternative to traditional Black Friday shopping.

The blueberries were sourced from a local farm in Hammonton, New Jersey. They were crushed, fermented, and distilled down to a delicate blueberry base spirit on-site. The liquid was then aged in lightly charred new American oak barrels for two and a half years. 

“This Brandy is a passion project turned work of art,” says Adkins. “The aging process caramelizes the barrels' sugars fusing the light blueberry spirit with oak -- creating tantalizing notes of blueberry, vanilla, and crème brûlée.”

Bluebird Distilling is a craft distillery that produces small batch whiskies (that includes a limited release Wheat Whiskey, Four Grain Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, and White Rye Whiskey) and other amazing craft spirits such as Juniperus Gin, Vodka, Sugarcane Rum, and Dark Rum.
