ShopRite supermarkets will feature the eggs in its stores the week
of January 28.
Kreider
Farms, one of America’s most progressive and innovative egg and
dairy farms and the nation’s 10th largest egg producer, has
introduced its Noah’s Pride™ Farm Fresh Premium Cage Free and Organic Cage Free
Eggs.
The eggs are produced in Kreider’s state-of-the-art, cage-free aviaries.
They have earned USDA, SQF and American Humane Association certifications.
Organic cage free and cage free hens are fed an all-vegetarian diet with no
antibiotics, animal by-products or growth hormones. The new Kreider eggs are
available in Grade A Large and are sold at select supermarkets and farm markets
in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
“Our new, modern cage free aviaries feature the finest quality
control, animal welfare and food safety available. And, we have upgraded our
other chicken houses, too. Last June, we closed the last remaining
conventional-style chicken house. All our non-cage free chicken houses now
feature larger cages, tunnel air ventilation and daily manure removal belt
systems. Kreider Farms is one of a very select few egg farms in the United
State to feature 100 percent upgraded state-of-the-art production and
processing facilities in both caged and cage free housing.”
The Noah’s Pride line of eggs is named for Noah Kreider Senior,
the grandfather of current Kreider Farms president and CEO, Ron Kreider and
Ron’s father Noah, Jr. Noah Kreider Senior and his wife Mary Hershey Kreider
(cousin to Milton Hershey) began the farm in 1935. The Kreider/Hershey
homestead farm has remained in the Hershey family since Christian Hershey
settled in Manheim back in 1739.
